Generally, it is a potluck-style dinner that is held at a different home each month. You get to know two other CVBC families in their homes and your own! This year, Glenn Woods (861-4155) is setting up the groups. Sign-up at the Ministry Table before January 31st..then Glenn will match your family with two others and you'll get suggestions on how to run the Diners' Club. This is great fun! This will be a time of reflection as we consider what God has done in our midst in the last year, and a time of looking ahead to see what God might have in store for us in 2006 and beyond! Although this is intended as a church family celebration, if you know of friends who may be interested in CVBC, by all means feel free to invite them! If your "RSVP" depends on the weather (you'd rather not drive if the roads are bad), please call the church office and we will try to get someone to pick you up and bring you to the banquet. We want to emphasize that we will need an exact headcount by the night of Feb. 5 since the church pays for every person who commits to going, whether everyone shows up or not. * The church will be responsible for paying $12.52 per plate for those who commit by Feb. 5. If you have not been contacted by your "shepherd" and would like to go to the banquet, please call the church office at 723-2872 or email us at info@cvbc.net. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Insert 2: Children's Church The Children's Church Committee has been exploring the option of expanding the program to include students in grades 1-5. This would run at the same time as the current Children's Church program during the second service. If your child(ren) would be interested in participating in this program or if you are willing to volunteer, please fill out the form below and return it to the Wendlers' mailbox, #197. This will help us get a head count for students attending and adult: student ratio for staffing.* For more information call Willy & Laura Wendler at 726-9332. *(Adult volunteers would serve on a rotating basis.)
