We will begin sign-ups starting next Sunday. ------------------------------------------------------------------ There is Youth Choir rehearsal tonight at 5 pm. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Arise & Build Update $150,000 Needed to start to build - $116,370 Total Raised ------- $ 33,630 Balance needed The Leadership of CVBC has set a goal to raise $150,000 before breaking ground on the West Wing this spring. We currently have a matching fund offer of $35,000 through the end of April. For every dollar given the A&B balance raises $2. So far we have raised $31,285 toward the matching funds. Please keep in mind that the total cost for the West Wing extension is between $350-400K. We will be collecting items for the sale after April 30th. You can bring your items into the AWANA Circle classrooms. Only bring items that are in good, useable condition (no rips, stains, missing parts). Please have all items priced! Price in $.25 increments. We will be able to give you a receipt for your donations as a tax deduction. You'll need to decide on the amount. All large items need to be signed in. If they don't sell, you will need to pick them up after the sale. We are in need of volunteers to help set up, clean up and work during the sale. Park Ave., Chippewa Falls, WI Ex-inmates will give testimonies about how this ministry has changed their lives. Chaplain Cliff Wolterstorff will share what God is doing in the jails to change lives. Rev. Leroy Davis Vice President of National Ministries of Good News Jail & Prison Ministry Tickets are donated by businesses, churches and individuals from the Chippewa Valley who support this ministry. About Leroy Davis: Leroy Davis joined Good News Jail and Prison Ministry on April 1st, 2001, as Assistant Vice President of Ministry, having served on the Board of Directors for three years. At that time, his ministry focused on being a Chaplain to the Chaplains. In the fall of 2003, Leroy assumed the role of Vice President of National Ministry, with leadership responsibility for the ministry of Good News Jail and Prison Ministry in the United States. Prior to joining Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, Leroy ministered in church pastorates for 21 years, the last 15 years as senior pastor in a church in Richmond, Virginia. During that time he began assisting the GNJPM chaplains in the Henrico County, Virginia, jails as a volunteer Bible teacher. He also started serving as a volunteer chaplain for the Henrico County Division of Police in 1997. Leroy received his Master of Divinity degree from Grace Theological Seminary in 1987. He completed post-graduate work at Grace Theological Seminary and doctoral work at Liberty University. He studied engineering at North Carolina State University and holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from Piedmont Bible College.
