In Ephesians 3:20-21, Paul closes the chapter saying, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to the power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in all the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen." This study reminds us that God is so much more than we have acknowledged or experienced. Beth goes on to say, "I have become utterly convinced that we see so little primarily because we believe Him for so little. Here is the good news: God wants to change all that." We will examine our own tendencies that get in the way of God's faith principles and put fresh belief into our daily practices, from developing a "Good Memory" to applying scripture in our most important relationships. Come join us for a Believing Good Adventure! THE COVENANT -- ARE PROMISES MADE TO BE BROKEN? A Precept study by Kay Arthur Wednesdays at 9:15 a.m., an 11-week study beginning January 17th Understanding God's covenants is like finding the missing piece of the puzzle, which ties it all together. Finally, one begins to understand what it means to live in the realm of the grace of God, free from the Law, but not lawless! Rest, joy, and victory belong to the believers who truly know God as a covenant-keeping God. Join us as we get to know the Living Word through the Written Word. BECOMING A WOMAN OF FREEDOM by Cynthia Heald Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m., an 11 week study beginning on January 17th If you ever feel like you are making no progress, lacking joy, or being weighed down by your Christian life in spite of all you're doing to grow and serve, "Becoming a Woman of Freedom" will give you a second wind. This study will help you deal with things like past hurt and loss, poor self-image, approval-seeking, busyness, doubt and fear, and unhealthy influences. ------------------------------------------------------------------- On-going Men's Studies Tuesdays: 6:30 am: FCA Men's study at the Chippewa YMCA Led by Greg Wallace - 723-8759 Wednesdays: 6:30 - 8 pm: Study at Maux Creative Led by Dennis Wolf - 382-4327 Thursdays: 7 am - 8 am: A study of Proverbs at CVBC Led by Jim Woldhuis - 723-2872 Noon - 1 pm: Study & fellowship at Maux Creative Led by Darin Thomas - 720-7823 Saturdays: 7:30 - 8:45 am: Food, fellowship, & God's Word 1st & 3rd weeks at CVBC Led by Glenn Woods - 861-4155 ------------------------------------------------------------------- REGULAR WEEKLY EVENTS: SUNDAY: 9:00 am - Sunday School for all ages (Sept. - May) 9:00 am - Morning Worship Service 10:30 am - Morning Worship Service 6:30 pm - Adult Choir rehearsal (November, January) MONDAY: 8:30 am - Body & Soul Fitness (http://cvbc.net/women/bodyandsoul) 7:00 pm - Boy Scout Meeting (NO MEETINGS IN DECEMBER) TUESDAY: 6:30 am - FCA Men's Bible Study (YMCA in Chippewa Falls) 9:30 am - Tuesday Morning Moms (http://cvbc.net/women/tmm) WEDNESDAY: 8:30 am - Body & Soul Fitness 9:00 am - Women's Bible Study 10:00 am - Ladies' Missionary Fellowship (3rd Wed. each month) 12:00 pm - Men on the Move (Maux Creative Studio) 4:30 pm - Youth Choir (Sept. - April) 6:00 pm - AWANA (Sept. - April) (http://cvbc.net/awana) 6:00 pm - Jr. & Sr. High Youth Groups THURSDAY: 10:00 am - Women's Bible Study 11:30 am - Senior Saints Pot-Luck (2nd Thurs. each month) 6:30 pm - MOPS (3rd Thursday of each month) (http://cvbc.net/mops) FRIDAY: 8:30 am - Body & Soul Fitness SATURDAY: 7:30 am - Men's Breakfast (1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays) 5:00 pm - Worship service ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ELDERS: DEACONS: Tom Arneberg Dave Bishop Dan Burns Joe Cherrier (Treasurer) Stuart Krause John Griffith Bryan Kriehn Mark Hedrington Jim Haley Darin Thomas Keith Tompkins Darin Thomas Jim Woldhuis Brad Robb Dennis Wolf Glenn Woods ELDER CANDIDATES: DEACON CANDIDATES: Marty Schultz Willy Wendler Church Office: 715-723-2872 Youth Ministries: Steve Blanchard (861-3395, CVBCSteve@charterinternet.com) Music Ministries: Terri/Dora/Bev (CVBCMusic@gmail.com) Teaching Elder: Jim Woldhuis (726-1339, CVBCJim@charterinternet.net) Church Secretaries: Libby Krause, Chris Kriehn (CVBCSecty@charterinternet.net) Cleaning/Setup: Julian Warwick Financial Secretary: Ryan Burr CVBC Email: info@cvbc.net ------------ CVBC is on the Internet at: http://cvbc.net ------------
