What’s Happening at CVBC

  • Today we recognize new members of CVBC. Join us in welcoming them!

  • We are having an Open House on Sunday, August 6, after the service to inform everyone about the ministries of CVBC. Plan to join us for donuts and information. See where you might get involved in ministry!

  • The Summer Book Club will meet Sunday August 6 at 11:00am for book #2: The Prodigal God by Tim Keller. Meets in the sanctuary.

  • The next Men’s event — Brat Night— is Monday, August 7 at 6pm.

  • Elders will be teaching on sexuality: For 3 consecutive Wednesdays in August, the elders will be teaching on the important and yet difficult topic of sexuality. We will be looking at what the Bible says about it  and how we can wisely live in a world that is continually twisting God’s design of sex, marriage, and gender. We will send out a more detailed summary of this class soon. Plan to join us from 6:30-8:00 PM on August 16th, 23rd, and 30th.

  • Mark your calendar for the Annual Meeting  Sunday, August 20, after the outdoor service and meal. All are encouraged to attend.

  • Small Groups focus on building deeper relationships by providing a smaller community to pray together, study the Bible, and challenge each other to grow in our faith. Contact Mark Wathke at smallgroups@cvbc.net for more information. Join a Small Group!

CHILDRChildren’s Ministry

If you are the parent of a child (or children) up through grade 5, we have many ways to get them involved in programs with their peers, taught by adults that desire to teach, love, and nurture children.

· Nursery: 9:00am | Year-Round (birth up to 4K)

We offer nursery for newborns up through kids going in 4K so that parents can give their full attention to the worship service.

· Sunday School: 9:00am | School Year (4K-5th grade)

We offer Sunday school for elementary school-aged children during the 9:00am hour. Contact Julie at juliee@cvbc.net for more information.

· BLAST: Wednesday Evenings | School Year (4K-5th grade) 5:45-7:30pm

Our BLAST program is a fun-filled evening for kids including games, music, and opportunities to build friendships. But at the center is a transforming message from God’s Word and a better understanding of the Word through Bible memorization. Contact Steve at steveh@cvbc.net for more information about BLAST.

All teachers  and nursery workers are elder-approved and screened with a background check.

· Family Room: Sunday mornings 10:30am (Summer 9:00am)

Families with young children can enjoy worship via live stream. The room has activities & toys so kids can have a little more space/freedom while parents watch the service. (Not available during outdoor services)

· Kids’ Table in the lobby: Sunday mornings | Year-Round

We have a table out in the lobby with blank paper and assorted coloring & activity sheets with crayons for your kids to bring into the service with them.
