What’s Happening at CVBC 

  • A Lost & Found table is up today in the lobby. Please check for items that may belong to you.

  • Adult Sunday School class: The Healthy Church. Join us at 9am in Room 50 for our series investigating the foundational attributes and practices that make up a healthy church. Next class (10/15): Conversion. 

  • TRUNK or TREAT will be Saturday, October 28, from 2-4pm. Volunteers are needed to decorate your car's trunk, bring it to CVBC, and distribute candy to kids. Sign up in the lobby! We will also need candy donations -- you can drop off at church before Thursday, 10.26.

Spiritual Gifts (Pt. 2)

Main Point: The Spirit has blessed each _____ with Christians who have _____.

Knowing the Gifts

(1) Teaching/Knowledge/Wisdom: Explaining and applying the truths of God.

(2) Pastor-Teacher

(3) Prophecy*: Proclaiming God’s spontaneous revelation.

(4) Apostleship*: Those who have seen the risen Jesus and given authority by Him.

(5) Speaking in Tongues*: The Ability to speak spontaneously in a human language that is not one’s own language.

(6) Interpreting Tongues*: The ability to interpret/translate a human language that is not one’s language.

(7) Encouragement/Exhortation: To encourage those in distress and to    encourage people to holy lives.

(8) Evangelism: Sharing the Gospel with unbelievers.

(9) Distinguishing Between Spirits: Discerning what is from God and what is opposing God.
