Men’s Ministry

PURPOSE

CVBC Men’s Ministry aims to provide avenues for men to grow in their faith and knowledge of God and to build meaningful Christ-centered friendships. Discipleship and relationships require intentionality. The Men’s Ministry strives to provide these opportunities through Bible studies, discipleship groups, monthly fellowship events, and an annual retreat.

VISION STATEMENT

  • What: Our goal is to see men equipped, connected, and discipled to spiritual maturity

  • Who: All post-high school men of CVBC and our community

  • Why: To glorify God and serve our church family by teaching men sound doctrine and helping them know and apply God’s Word to every area of their lives

  • How: We have a 4-pronged approach: Men’s Bible studies, monthly fellowship events, retreats, and discipling groups (men’s mentoring).

    • Bible Studies

    • Men’s Connect events: Monday nights every other month | Year-Round
The purpose of connect events is to give guys an opportunity  to build deeper relationships in a natural way, creating Biblical friendships for encouragement, prayer, accountability, and discipleship beyond Sunday mornings.

    • Retreat: Annually (Spring)                                                                  CVBC Men are given the opportunity to spend 2 days together at a local camp for the purpose of encouraging one another’s faith through teachings, small groups, and prayer.

    •  Men’s Mentoring – As Christians we have been commanded to love, encourage, admonish, weep with, and confess sins to, one another. At times, this can only be done within the confines of safe and trusted friendships. Men’s mentoring exists as a means for a group of 2 or 3 men to meet and communicate regularly for the purpose of building these Christ-centered friendships.
