Women’s Ministry

Purpose

The purpose of the CVBC Women’s Ministry is to bring glory to God by providing opportunities for women to grow in their personal relationship with God, equip them to serve Him with their spiritual gifts and to encourage fellowship.

The Women’s Ministry is designed to uniquely meet the needs of the women of the church and our community.  We are focused on the areas of Biblical teaching, annual retreat, and fellowship events. Through these we have the opportunity to bring Christ’s love to the heart of each woman.

Vision Statement

What: Goal: To equip, connect, disciple (mentor) women to spiritual maturity
Who: All post high school women of CVBC and our community
Why: To glorify God and serve our church family by teaching women sound doctrine and helping them know and apply God's Word to every area of their lives
How: We have a 4 prong approach: Bible and women's studies, fellowship events, retreats, and mentoring.

Colossians 1:28-29
He is the one we (WMT) proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone (women) with all wisdom, so that we (WMT/CVBC) may present everyone (women) fully mature in Christ. To this end I (WMT) strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me (us).

Women’s Ministry Team serves the church through various ministries in the following areas:

Bible Studies:

Bible studies are a way to build relationships with other women while you are deepening your walk with the Lord.  They are a great opportunity to share life experiences and personal understanding of Biblical truths.

We have a yearly moms' group, Tuesday Morning Moms, that meets from September to May .

We also offer a variety of elective Bible studies throughout the year. Watch your bulletin or call the church office for current studies.

Annual Retreat:

The annual retreat is a two night retreat held in October.  It is designed to be a getaway where women can slow down, enjoy time with other women, and with God. It includes worship, Bible study, prayer time, and free time to just relax and have fun.

Fellowship:

Laughter, joy, and shared moments are things that build relationships. Relationships are where we are able to invest in each other’s lives.  We desire to offer opportunities for relationships to begin and deepen. Among other get-togethers, we have a Spring Brunch and Christmas Tea each year.

Newsletter:

An informational newsletter regarding ministries for women (including Bible studies and special events) goes out each month. For more information, or to be added to the the group to receive the newsletter, email Chris at cvbc.chris@gmail.com.
